Bind off skipping dropped stitches 1

This is the first of two bind-off techiques I will show you, that come in handy when you have to drop stitches while you bind off. As you may know if yo ever tried: the challenge is to leave the right amount of yarn for the drop between the two bound off stitches. This first alternative additionally uses a cable needle or a double pointed needle in the same size, (I used a slightly smaller blue onefor better visibility here). / Dies ist die erste von zwei Techniken, die ich hier vorstellen werde, die man benutzten kann, wenn man während des Abkettens auch noch Maschen fallen lassen will. Die Herausforderung dabei ist, die richtige Länge Garn für den Abstand zwischen den beiden abgekettenten Maschen zu lassen. Für diese Methode braucht man noch zusätzlich eine Hilfsnadel (meine in den Bildern ist blau, damit man sie besser sieht) vorzugsweise in der selben Stärke wie die Stricknadeln.

1. Bind off until the stitch that has to be dropped is the first on your left needle. Knit that stitch (and others if they have to be dropped as well) with the cable needle. / Abketten bis die Masche, die fallen gelassen werden soll die erste auf der linken Nadel ist. Diese Masche mit der Hilfsnadel stricken (ggf. wiederholen, wenn mehrere Maschen fallen sollen).

2. Put the cable needle with your stitch(es) behind your work. / Die Hilfsnadel mit der/n Masche(n) hinter die Arbeit legen.

3. Continue to bind off ignoring the stitch(es) on the cable needle. / Mit dem Abketten fortfahren und die Masche(n) auf der Hilfsnadel ignorieren.

4. Take out the cable needle and drop the stitch(es). / Die Hilfsnadel herausnehmen und die Masche(n) fallen lassen.
