Fertiges zum Freitag - 25. Januar 2013 - Papas Tasche

Wie am Mittwoch versprochen, gibt es heute mal wieder etwas zum Thema Nähen. Nämlich das diesjährige Weihnachtsgeschenk für meinen Papa: eine neue Sporttasche. Außen ist sie aus einer Art schwarzem Jeansstoff (die Bindung ist dieselbe, aber er ist durchgefärbt) und das Futter ist, passend zu den Trägern und dem Reißverschluss, aus grün-kariertem Baumwollstoff (angeblich Flanell, aber da hatte wohl jemand das Anrauen einer Seite vergessen). Meine einzige Modifikation ist die zusätzliche gefütterte Außentasche. Außerdem habe ich das Futter mit der Nähmaschine eingenäht (das ging bei dem dunklen Stoff ganz gut).

Promised on wednesday - delivered on friday: a sewing related post! Today I want to share with you another me-made christmas present, a duffelbag for my dad. On the outside I used some black denim and the lining is made from some green cotton flanel plaid I picked up on a sale. I doubt the flanel part, as it lacks the typical roughed finish and it's also only 90cm wide which is strange, too. But it works well as lining for a "manly" bag, so I'm happy with that. My only modification to the pattern has been to add a pocket on the outside. I found the pattern decriptions a bit scarse for this bag. Also, I'll never learn what makes a project "easy" for burda...
