Kraus Rechts Zusammennähen - Grafting Garter Stitch

Da ich immer wieder vergesse, wie das mit dem unsichtbaren Zusammennähen von Gestricktem ging, gibt es heute ein Tutorial dazu. Ganz speziell eignet sich diese Methode zum Zusammennähen von kraus rechts Gestricktem, wenn alle Maschen noch auf den Nadeln liegen. Zur besseren Demonstration habe ich einen kontrastfarbenen Faden genommen, sonst nimmt man natürlich am besten den Arbeitsfaden.

I never can remember how to graft. So I made this tutorial for easy reference. This method is useful for sewing together garter stitch stitches (all stitches have to be still on the needles). For better visibility I used contrasting yarn, usually you use your working yarn, of course.

1. Man braucht auf beiden Nadeln die selbe Anzahl von Maschen. Den Arbeitsfaden in eine Stopfnadel einfädeln. Beide Stricknadeln parallel halten. / You need the same number of stitches on both needles. Thread a tapestry needle with the working yarn. Hold both knitting needles parallel.

2. Den Faden mit der Stopfnadel durch die erste Masche der vorderen Nadel führen, als würde man sie links stricken wollen. Die Masche bleibt auf der Nadel. Dasselbe mit der ersten Masche der hinteren Nadel wiederholen. / Thread the working yarn as if to purl through the first stitch on the front needle, leaving the stitch on the needle. Repeat with the first stitch on the back needle. 

3. Dann die erste Masche auf der vorderen Nadel "rechts abstricken" also mit der Stopfnadel den Faden wie zum Rechts stricken durchfädeln und dann die Masche von der Nadel gleiten lassen. / Then insert the tapestry needle into the first stitch on the front needle as if to knit and slip the stitch off the needle.

4. Durch die neue erste Masche der vorderen Nadel den Faden wieder wie zum links stricken führen, die Masche auf der Nadel lassen. / Thread the needle through the new first stitch on the front needle as if to purl and leave the stitch on the needle.

5. Jetzt die erste Masche der hinteren Nadel "rechts abstricken" und von der Nadel gleiten lassen. / Now insert the tapestry needle into the first stitch on the back needle as if to knit and slip the stitch off the needle.

6. Durch die neue erste Masche der hinteren Nadel den Faden wieder wie zum links stricken führen, die Masche auf der Nadel lassen. / Thread the needle through the new first stitch on the back needle as if to purl and leave the stitch on the needle.

Die Schritte 3 bis 6 wiederholen bis keine Maschen mehr auf den Nadeln sind. / Repeat steps 3 to 6 until all stitches have been worked.
