Also weiter auf Englisch…
Today I finally released the pattern for the Arabesque Cardigan(this link brings you to the ravelry pattern page). I’ve been working a while on this, since the end of April to be precise. Knitting was done pretty quickly, but writing the pattern down for 11 sizes and then having it test knitted and edited did take its time, too. So now almost half a year after starting it is the finished pattern. The details:
The Arabesque Cardigan is a top-down fitted raglan with a peplum. It is knit in one piece including the garter stitch button bands. Eyelets are emphaszing the raglan increases. The back and the wrists are adorned with intricate twisted stitch cabling motifs. The inspiration for these motifs have been the lovely decors of the Aleppo Room in the Pergamon Museum here in Berlin. So now you know where the name comes from.
Sizes: 30(32,34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48,50) for 76(81,86,91,96,101,107,112,117,122,127) cm / 30(32,34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48,50)” bust circumference; approx. 4cm/1.5” positive ease. The pattern is written out separately for each size.
Needles: 3mm (US# 2.5) circular needles 60cm/24″ or longer
Yarn: approx. 5(5,5,6,6,6,6,7,7,7,7)) skeins of Karen Noe Design Shetland Wool (light fingering/3ply, 100% wool, 215m/235y per 50g skein)
Notions: 1 cable needle, 2 stitch holders or waste yarn, 6 stitch markers, 4 of one kind (to mark raglan increases) and 2 of another kind (to mark back pattern), 8 small (approx. 1cm/0.375″ diameter) buttons, tapestry needle to weave in ends, sewing needle and thread to sew on buttons.
Skill level: Indermediate to Advanced. You should be able to increase, decrease, cable and do yarn overs.
You can buy the pattern for 6.00€ from my ravelry shop.
