Knitting pattern: Walking On…
These are socks that put a spring into your step. If you are a bit like me, colour makes you smile and these socks are radiating spring in all its glory: sunshine, bees, buttercups and dandelions.
Slipped stitches form the pattern of the Walking On... socks in various ways: as rays on the foot and in the cuff‘s honeycomb pattern. The best thing about that is: you only have to work on colour at a time.
An easy sock pattern using short rows and slipped stitches. Written for double pointed needles.
Fingering weight yarn.
Shown in Regia Colour 4-ply (75% Wool, 25% Nylon, 210m/230yds per 50g ball) in yellow (Main Colour) and grey (Contrast Colour).
26 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4" in stockinette stitch.
approx. 1 (2, 2) balls of Main Colour and 1 ball of Contrast Colour.
S (M, L) - equaling a Cuff/Foot Circuference of 18 (21, 24)cm / 7 (8.25, 9.5)", length as desired.
A set of 3.0mm (US size 2.5) DPNs.
A tapestry needle to weave in ends.
You should be able to: knit, purl, decrease and work short rows.
